David Enriquez launched his professional singing career in 1996. That same year he received the opportunity to audition for the A&R department of Voltage Records. It was his first and only audition. He was immediately signed to a record deal. But due to several obstacles the label was facing, David never received the opportunity to record his full-length debut album.

Bob Gallarza, a Tejano pioneer and Grammy Award winning producer, contacted David and auditioned him to re-record an original Hank Williams song, “Tear In My Beer”. David Enriquez was later nominated for best male Tejano/Country single of the year along with Rick Trevino and Tropa F in 1997. Although David did not win the category, it was an honor for him to have been nominated with two well-known Tejano/Country artists. From 1998 through late 2002, David took some time off from the Tejano/Country scene, but he is now back with a new sound and a new image! He has crossed over into the Latin Pop/Rock market with the direction of his new management, Roland Entertainment.

David encountered a near death motorcycle accident that hospitalized him for a week during the summer of 2002. After this experience he realized that he could no longer put his career on hold because he was given a second chance in life. He contacted Rolando Cuellar from Roland Entertainment and was later signed to a management deal in early 2004! His returned performance on Oct. 30, 2002, at the Downtown Library, “Party On The Plaza” captured the audience attention. David also received the honor to sing the National Anthem at “Browning Boxing” on November 21, 2002. He received a well welcome back applause from the audience during the climax of the National Anthem. In 2003, 2004, & 2005, David Enriquez performed at numerous events throughout the Houston area. On April 15, 2005, David was a finalist for a talent contest presented by Heineken/Billboard Latin Music Awards and hosted by Houston’s Latino radio station XO 107.9! He received second place making him Houston’s #1 solo male Latin pop/rock artist! He continues to be Houston’s #1 solo male Latin pop/rock artist with his recent win for Latin Magazine’s, Latin Nation Tour “Battle of the bands” in Houston, TX on Oct. 7, 2006.

David’s self-debut CD, which will include Spanish & English songs, is coming soon! For more information and booking contact Roland Entertainment @ 713.674.1984 or visit website www.myspace.com/DavidEnriquez
